God I am getting nervous only 17 days now until my beautiful Chunyan arrives here I have been cleaning like a mad man and getting things ready for her and her son so much to do!!!! it seems as if these last weeks of our journey are going by so very slowly Tomorrow I do the web cam thing with her parents and I am sure I am going to get the grilling of my life!!!! They are a little upset with me for not being able to come to China to pick her up but unfortunately finances prohibited it They cant seem to understand this! I try to explain to them why I think the money spent on a plane ticket for a week is better spent on things like food, mortgage and utilities plus all the fees we are going to incur very soon.Any one have any advise on how to handle her Mom and Dad? Can someone tell me what is the first thing--- Besides marrying my Love-- that I should be filing I think it is form I-485and am I looking at that right that the fee is going to be $930 dollars plus 80 for biometrics and then $600 dollars for her son? And when does this have to be filed and paid for? Is it b4 the 90 days on her K1 is up? And what happens if I don't have the cash b4 then? Chunyan is going to work as soon as she can she is a RN but we have to get her license to practice here and until she goes to work money is going to be tight plus I am sure there are going to be fees associated with her getting her RN license. Maybe someone on this site is an RN and had experience in getting licensed She has taken and passed the NCLEX examination ( she took it in Hong Kong) but she never got licensed in the US she does need to take and pass the English exam yet But I think we have to file the I 485 before she can even get a job but I am not sure So if anyone has some experience with this I would greatly appreciate some help I cant wait for her to get here it has been almost a year since we have seen each other! One other thing does any one here know of a Chinese Market in the Cleveland area? or an authentic Chinese restaurant?

Very very familiar. Fens closet in China looked like a disaster zone. Unfortunately a wife does not come with "satisfaction guranteed" I dont think China would want our wives back. I dont know bout you guys but who gives a crap if she can clean or cook or whatever I would hope you all are looking for wives and companions not frickin maids or servants treat them with respect and show some class for Gods sake and have some patience you may get it in return 10 fold!!!!

WE ARE TENTATIVELY SETTING A JUNE 26TH DATE FOR CHUNYAN AND HER SON YINXI TO ARRIVE IN CLEVELAND AND A JULY WEDDING DATE. NOW I HAVE 300 THINGS TO DO HERE TO GET READY FOR MY BEAUTIFUL LADY TO ARRIVE GUESS I SHOULD CANCEL MY PLAYBOY SUBSCRIPTION!! DOES ANYONE KNOW WHY I CANT POST OUR PHOTOS HERE? Oh Yes Interview on 5/11 7:15 A.M. Pray that the VO has a good nights sleep and that The VO's SO takes care of business the night before Is it better for her to have her interview first thing in the morning?

Can some one tell me what fees my Fiance is going to have to pay at her interview? I know of the $131.00 per visa fee for the consulate and I am pretty sure the fee for the medical exam is 800 RMB for her and 600 RMB for her son the apartment is around 55 dollars US per night I think but how many nights? and what else is there that I am overlooking?

I really front loaded the application it was 143 pages long I also got a letter from my congressman supporting my application so maybe that sped things up a bit. She got package 3 on 3/12 all filled out and submitted 3/15 hope for a fast interview I miss her really bad!!! One thing though does anyone here have to listen to the racist comments of others? I am sick of people telling me she is a mail order bride and I want to tell them to go ffff themselves Hell we met on E-Harmony and I was not looking for a Chinese wife so to speak it just so happens that I don't give a damn what race she is What do others do in these situations just ignore the imbeciles? I am submitting my i129f application tommorrow whats this about fee increases? is that for the i129f with the $455 that I am sending in? What are the fees she is going to incur at the embassy and can some one tell me how long she will have to be there for the interview process and her medical stuff? Can she have her medicals done elsewhere before hand? She is an RN and works in a hospital so can she have it done there then bring the records with her to the interview?

we are also bringing her son with her and she has sent me all of his information --- birth certificate his passport photo and when she got divorced she changed his name from what is on his birth certificate accompanied by certified translations of all the documents do I need to include these? I am including her and my divorce papers with certified translations I just want no mistakes

I am getting ready to file my i129f application as was wondering how everything should be organized? Should everything be in separate and labeled folders I also have a letter from my congressman supporting my application should I include this with the I129f or should I wait and have my SO give it to the interviewer? I am also a bit worried that they will deny her the visa because I have only been to China one time. It is hard for me to pick up and leave because I have an 11 year old Daughter to take care of here So I dont know if it will be a problem or not. Also how much evidence of our relationship is too much to send in I have all of my phone records from our daily conversations and copies of our Yahoo conversations. Is that enough? What other proof should I send? One other thing for all the people starting off their relationships----- send her a magic jack it is cool that she can call me from China without having to worry about the cost and it works fairly well! First I have to say that some of the laws in China are prehistoric I swear I have a huge problem. My So's Divorce papers only say that she is "Fostering" her son which from what I understand means that she has custody Her Ex has not once paid any kind of support the man has never even laid eyes on his kid but because of their barbaric laws it does not say on her papers that she has full custody it just says she will "Foster" the child Now we have hired her lawyer (and paid her 3000 Yuan) to get the courts to say she has full custody Yesterday we find out that the courts consider her case closed and they will not do anything. Going to her ex and getting this sob to sign over his rights is impossible She does not even know where he is or how to contact him and she told me even if she did find him there is no way this bozo would ever sign a paper i am lost as to what to do!! Her lawyer said that she would go to the notarization place and get some kind of document saying she has custody Is this possible? Will the VO except this? She was also going to get sworn statements from her friends that say her ex abandoned her in 2005 Any suggestions would be appreciated
