  1. We are currently about 2 months in for a CCP Blue slip. I have emailed a few times and the response has changed recently. Could this be a different email template or is a sign of progress?
  2. Hi Everyone, I am working on the emplyment verification letter on company. I asked my HR department that I was looking for employment verification. Our company uses a third party company for this function. However, I think this is for things such as a home loan or similar. Is this correct? Do I need to go back to HR and ask for a letter and tell them I need a letter for a specific purpose of a K1 visa? Any thoughts would be helpful Thanks!
  3. I am putting together my K1 application. I have been putting together a powerpoint with all documents needed for the application (minus actual sigs) which I plan to print out in color. Some pictures I have cropped or enlarged from the original photo. Does this matter? Should I turn in hardcopy pics in addition to printed color pics? I am planning to use screenshots of chatting? Is this acceptable evidence? I would think a screenshot is better than a big wall of instant messaging text. Some scanned documents have been digitally enlarged as well. All things were done to improve readablitity and improve the actual pics. Am I heading down a wrong path by organizing this way? Should I just do things "the old fashion way"? Thanks for any insight and recomendations.
  4. I seem to have misplaced a set of boarding passes for a trip to China that was going to be part of the visa application process. Is a copy of an itinerary ok and a copy of past reservation enough? Passport being stamped ok? We should have 5-8 visits between us at the time of application. Is this a concern at all? Thanks
  5. I am trying to find out the following info and have not been able to find any info. If my fiance has a 1 year tourist visa and then comes to the US on a fiance visa during the time the tourist visa is still valid (ie having both visas with the tourist visa obtained first), can she travel back and forth on the tourist visa between the US and China? My understanding is that typically with a fiance visa one has to stay in the US until a Green Card (3-6 months+) is received otherwise there can be some issues with returning back to US for a number of years. I know that there is an appeal process, but "outstanding" reasons need to be provided. Any thoughts? links would also be appreciated. Thanks!
  6. Hi Everyone, I am trying to plan an approximate date for my fiance to apply to grad school as a non international student. I have read a few threads and websites but see different timelines for various reasons. So after getting a fiance visa and getting married in the US it seem like that a SSN can be received in a few weeks. Does this allow her to work after receiving that, or does a I-765 form need to be files for a Employment Authorization Document. I guess bottom line, is about how long it takes for her to be able to work after arriving in the US and getting married barring any paperwork problems/screwups. Secondly, to apply for grad school, she needs to be a permanent residence..ie green card. It seems like this takes about 1-9 months. Is this approximately right? Bottom line what is the quickest to be able to work and to get a green card (ie permanent residence)? Thanks for the clarification and advice
