Upon further research, it seems very odd that this owner's pictures on his website are the same as another hotel owner's (unless of course they are the same person? though different contact numbers and names) I booked this hotel in the first place because I liked the pictures of the hotel. Personally, not something I like to gamble with on a hotel.

Nor was it available the next day either. We had booked the hotel for an entire week starting from the day of my wife's arrival. We had kept in contact with the owner to confirm our reservation even up to the morning of her arrival. It would have been nice to at least have a heads up so we could have found another place to stay.

I am sorry that you didn't get the room you wanted. Though my places are not as good as five star hotels, but I have lots of apartments with one bedroom and one livingroom. If I only have one apartment with one livingroom and three bedroom, how can I do this business? Simple, you act as a broker for other people's apartments; just like Mr. Yang. That's besides the point, the point is that if you guarantee a customer a room, it had better be reserved when they get there. No excuses; simply offering another room at a nearby hotel at a much higher price is not a solution. btw, when I left upset and I said I would tell others about the kind of service you provide, I was serious. If you'd like to continue to defend yourself then I can explain in more detail how you "attempted" to handle the situation. For your sake, I'll leave it up to the reader's imagination. Let's just say the way you presented yourselves would make anybody steer clear of your services. Let this be a lesson to treat your next paying customer with a little more respect and instead of a negative review, you'll get a positive one.

You're right Kyle. They are not certified to give vaccinations. Apparently, they provide a shuttle to the Shamian center at 12:30 and 2:30 each day to get your vaccinations there. How confusing this whole mess is and everytime you call you get a different answer. So the point is, if you decide to go in the morning before 11:00 then you can get everything done at this health center and pick it up the same day. If not then don't bother because it's not worth the trouble. If you are doing K-1 or K-3 then you can choose to go here because you don't need to get vaccinations anyway.

Regarding the change in vaccination sites, they've gotten rid of one of the old sites (Jiangmen), but added a new site that's much closer to the interview location and the Yang's. The new vaccination/health check site is only about 3-4 kilometers away now. From my understanding, vaccinations should be given when you go for the physical check-up. In the P-4 documents it says that the cost should be around 900 Rmb for check-up but this fee does not include vaccinations. After vaccinations, the fee is around 2000 according to the checkup center. I looked on their website, and apparently they have generic and non-generic versions of some vaccinations? www.sithc.com (shanghai branch) In short, do all this before your interview and bring 2000 rmb cash. In shanghai we can NOT get the results same day. Again, this is just my understanding...someone who has been through it can help confirm.

I wouldn't bother with the passport notarization because I'm assuming you'll give it to her to bring with to the interview?
