  1. I don't know if anybody here know or heard of this, but I'd love some advice from whoever had the experience of using medical insurance to cover SO's vaccination cost here in the states. We're married and her name is on the insurance too.
  2. Ok, I found it. So I'm replying myself. MMR£¬TD and CHICKEN POX.
  3. What are the 3 shots for the vaccination supplement? thanks.
  4. That would be great if the green card comes sooner than EAD. But we don't know the odds, and it is a gamble indeed for the AOS, some who is lucky get their green card within half a year, but some takes up to 2 years? What's the average? have no clue.
  5. Thank you all, that's been very helpful.
  6. I blieve EAD usually takes less time to get than that of a gree card. If we have a green card, that's a work permit itself. But the AP, I'm not sure. I heard that even though you have a green card, when you travel out of the the states, you will still need a AP, that can help you reentry US without problems ( not quite, shit happens nowadays ), if the stay out of the states is less than a year or less than half a year, the reentry should be okay, it will only cause you trouble if you stay in other country like more than a year or longer.
  7. Thanks for replying~ So it means we have to have the vaccination done before applying for AOS,right?? Since she has had her medical in China, the Civil surgoen can not force us to do it again, i assume. The problem is we are in a hurry to send out the AOS application, but we don't have vaccination supplyment at hand, should we just send in the application first without the vaccination proof or we should have the shots done first and send it in along with other documents? by the way, dose the application for work permit cost us another 180 bucks? I knew the fee for AOS is 390 something. thx!
  8. SORRY, I THOUGHT MY OTHER THREAD WAS DELETED , THAT'S WHY I POSTED A NEW TOPIC, HEHE. I JUST SAW MY PREVIOUS POST, IT WAS JUST MOVED. THX!
  9. We're ready to apply for her AOS ( for the 2 years conditional green card). She had the medical in China right before her visa interview, however, she didn't have a copy of the medical result. Since, she is holding a K1, so at that time the vaccination was not required. I wonder, during the process of applying for her greencard, do we need to send any medical result & vaccination proof? She has not had her vaccination done yet. Do we do that before apply for the AOS, or we do it before we have our AOS interview here in the states? Another question, on her SSN, social security card, it says that VALID FOR WORK ONLY WITH DHS AUTHORIZATION. What dose that mean? She donse't have a greencard now, is her condition as a K1 holder okay to work legally? We're married already. Thank you very much if any reply!
  10. Do we need to fill out that I 693 packet (8 pages long)?
  11. All, I am working on my AOS app. right now. Is a vaccination supplement really required as part of the package? If so, how long does the doctor take to complete this? Also, we live in California, where do we file this application? Meng and Mary
  12. All, What is required from my Fiancee when getting the marriage certificate? Do they need ssn or ID? BTW, I live in San Jose, CA. Any tips is grately appreciated.
  13. My fiancee has been here for two weeks now. This is the time she will be applying for the card. For #3 on the application- Status: which option would we pick? Legal alien allowed to work? For #8 and 9, do we leave it blank, since mother and father is not living in USA. Also, how long does it take for her to receive her SSN? Should I start filing for AOS during the wait period or until she get the number>?
  14. Hi all, David mention the medical exam. I thought that the medical exam docs is sealed and would be given to the immigrant officer when traveling to US. How can we possibly still have it for AOS? Please advise.
