We were at the 39A launch pad viewing area then. Good timing ! too lazy to log out and in, but this is eric writing, not the wifey

  7. As of my case, I did the examination for the interview late June last year, and I got my health certificate on this Mar. 4, more than 6 months later,, and as I could recall, they didn't mention anything about the 6 months' valid examination before they gave me that certificate... but you DO need your visa to get the certificate...
  8. Actually no need for it just to leave China. But it is always good to have one if it doesn't bother you,, and it is valid for one year as of the one I got on Mar.4 in Shanghai.
  9. around 10 kg actually, it is about 20rmb for every more kg for sea-land shipping, and 40rmb for sea-air shipping, you can get all the info at the post office where you ship your stuff. And don't trust the timeline they give you. I chose the cheapest way as sea-land as I was told it would take 2-3 months, but actually I got it just within 1.5 months.

  17. We just came back from SS Office to apply for the SSN, and were told that it would take 6 weeks to be issued after the documents check with immigration. From our understanding, the advertised 2 weeks is for US nationals only... The SSA memo EM-00154 of 11/00 says that you can now apply for a SSN without EAD ( which we did ), but of course you still need an EAD to actually work. Sooo more waiting here, but since together with my honey, I don't care
