  1.

The passport renewal is in Chinese for Chinese citizens only.

Yes, it's there. Your wife should be able to help you.

You may need to renew the entry permit at her PSB, although I expect it's there on the Consulate's website also in Chinese only.

    Thanks Randy for the reply:

However when i visit the link i provided i get a blank page.

Meaning the application does not load.

Also why would we need to renew entry permit?

We didn't need to do this 10 years ago when renewed her passport last time.

here is a screen shot of the page that is not loading the application.

Just a update for everyone, My wife received her 10 GC (second time around) and it took 10 months to get.

However? It's time for her passport renewal again!

Jumping through hoops again as always and looking like another trip to new York again.

Can't seem to find the application for passport renewal.

The first time we did this is was easy. now today it's not so easy.

    Any help would be great.

  2. Renew her passport and get an I551 stamp.

You'll need to renew it in person at the Chinese consulate.

My wife did this a few weeks ago - what s shit show.

Why would we need a new I551 stamp?

My wife's visa is still valid, Were just waiting for the new 10 GC to be delivered.

    Current visa is a IR1.

This will be our second time doing the passport renewal in NY.

The only difference this time the paper work/application is done online now.

  4. Yes, here we go again, More paper work and issues.

Just noticed today my wife (Hong) passport will expire within the next 12 months

On top of that we still have not received her new green card.

    http://candleforlove.com/forums/topic/49936-10-year-gc-recieve-time-after-bio/

I been doing some checking online for Chinese passport renewal and it seams as thought the Chinese consulate website can't view the application for new passport.

    http://www.china-embassy.org/eng/lsyqz/hzkz/pass3/t175984.htm

Perfect, At least we have some time??

We where planing to go home next year (2021) for hong's mothers 80th birthday

At this point? no green card and passport.

    Not looking good.

  5. Hello all just a question about how long does it take to get new 10 GC after renewal.

We did the I-90 and that when very fast.

July 3rd: We received your application:

July 6th: We Scheduled your biometrics appointment

July 24th: We reviewed your biometrics

You do not need to do anything at this time.

We will let you know if we need anything else from you as we continue to review your application.

They extended her current GC for one year?

However checking the case statues online nothing has been updated and no new GC in the mail.

Hong has a friend that just went through this 4 months before Hong did and it took her 8 months to get her new 10 GC.

    Really?

  6. You can create her USCIS account here - https://myaccount.uscis.dhs.gov/

Hong was admitted as CR1 in 2007 - she is now an LPR.

What is your question about the Date of Admission?

Section 2.h.1 is for LPR "commuters" living in Canada or Mexico - interesting. I've never heard of this before - https://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=ac6782c8-29fb-48ed-9999-5e6b0f707ebe

    yes, fill out part 3

OK i have made her an account, However i don't see a account number anywhere.

    How do i find this?

  7. The directions DO seem ambiguous, especially since it's paired with the date of admission question

Item Number 14. Class of Admission. List the three character code for the immigrant category under which you were
granted lawful permanent resident or conditional permanent resident status. This code can be found on your Permanent
Resident Card, and it is typically one or two letters followed by a number (for example, IR2).
Item Number 15. Date of Admission. Provide the date on which you were granted lawful permanent resident or
conditional permanent resident status in mm/dd/yyyy format.

But it seems like the best approach is to simply copy what is on your green card under Category and Resident Since, since it's more likely that they would want information about her current card, rather than her POE processing. Very strange wording there - sorry 'bout that.

Oh - congratulations on making it to ANOTHER 10 year card! Not many have done that yet.

Jiaying's was up in Oct., 2018, but, of course, we can't renew it from here!

Thanks randy for all your help.

I was figuring the same, Just do the basic info of current statues of GC

And yes, Doing another 10 years is a mile stone.

We just payed off our mortgage here in ohio.

30 year mortgage paid off in 7 years.

We are now in the process of having a new house built in Chongqing.

    we are doing good. :victory:

  8.

Hong was admitted as CR1 in 2007 - she is now an LPR.

Even though her current GC is IR1?

What is your question about the Date of Admission?

Is this the date she was admitted into the U.S.?

Section 2.h.1 is for LPR "commuters" living in Canada or Mexico - interesting. I've never heard of this before

There are 3 options to chose from on the I-90

My status is (Select only one box):

    1.a.Lawful Permanent Resident(Proceed to Section A.)

1.b.Permanent Resident - In Commuter Status (Proceed to Section A.)

1.c.Conditional Permanent Resident (Proceed to Section B.)

I would think we would check 1.a and proceed to section A

seeing how she does not commute and or live in Canada or Mexico.

    (Ohio resident)

    There we would check.

2.f. My existing card has already expired or will expire within six months.

  9. Well folks it's that time and i need your help again.

It's time to renew Hong 10 year Green card.

A little back story for those that don't know us.

Hong arrived in the U.S. (Los Angeles) in 2007 with a Cr1

We did her adjustment of statues 90 before CR1 expired and she received her 10 year Green Card (IR1) with no problems.

    Fast forward to today.

I filling out the I-90 hard copy first before i do the online version.

(This just makes it more easy for me latter)

I'm stuck on a few question and hope ya all can help.

    ----------------------------------------------------------------------------

    Part 1. Information About You

Item Number 2. USCIS Online Account Number (if any).

Hong does not have a acct number: I would write "None"

    Yes?

    Item Number 14.Class of Admission.

Hong was admitted as CR1 in 2007 however she is now IR1

    Item Number 15.Date of Admission.

    ???

    Part 2. Application Type

I would think we would check these boxes:

Item Numbers 1.a. lawful Permanent Resident (Proceed to section A)

    Reason for Application

Item Number 2.f. My existing card has already expired or will expire within six months.

2.h.1a My Port-of Entry (POE) into the United States will be:

This is not included within the I-90 instructions.

How should i answer this question?

    Part 3. Processing Information

I beleive this all needs to be filed out "Yes?"

The rest of the application is self explanatory.

And and all help would be greatly appreciated.

  10.

I was going to make a new thread asking about renewing the 10 GC until i seen this thread.

However if I'm right it's the I-90 we need to fill out correct?

Also from what i have read this can all be done now online??

My wife Hong 10 year GC will expire in 9 months.

Correct, can be done online, they will then send out an appointment letter to do a biometric.

    https://www.uscis.gov/i-90

    Thanks Dan as always. :victory:

  11. Hello all!.

It's been awhile since i been here.

This thread seams to be a bit dead?

However, I do need some help.

My wife and I would like to try to have our Nephew come and visit us.

He is 25 years old. married and has a new child.

He also just bought a new House and has a great job.

I have been out of this visa loop for some time now and i forget where to start.

    Any help would be great.

  12.

Notice the above the copy was certified by the US Department of State? Since you are going to submit your I-130 at the USCIS office in China, it can probably be a two fer to simply get a certified copy of the passport BIO page while your are there.

Well...I said I was dense. In my defense though, sometimes the terms used are a little ambiguous, like "passport" (which country?), or "copy" (an original document or a reproduction/photocopy?). Plus I am a little paranoid after reading horror stories about what happens if every "i" isn't dotted or "t" crossed. And I probably tend to overthink things as well, and see meanings where they don't exist. I have since read some new information, now (I think) understand what is involved, and learned that I can get the certified copy of my wife's passport I need at the Shenyang Consulate, which is much more convenient than going to Beijing. I'd rather just need to focus on the I-130 while in Beijing if possible. Thanks again for your help...and your patience.

    syzgy:

This is very simple to do.

You need to download the W-7 forum here:

    https://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7.pdf

YOU! fill out all the info on the W-7

Then it all depends if your in China with your SO (Significant other) or the U.S.

    you have two options.

    (1) If your in China with your SO (Significant other) then just make an appointment with the consulate in your SO (Significant other) Provence.

Take your completed W-7 forum and her Chinese passport and tell/request them to certify her passport for U.S. tax code for ITIN number.

(They will know what to do)

    (2) If your in the U.S. and your SO (Significant other) is in China:

Take your completed and signed W-7 to a Notary and have the W-7 notarized:

Then send the original Notarized W-7 to your SO by FedX,UPS, USPS.

Any mails service that you can track it's progress.

Once your SO (Significant other) receives you W-7 then follow step (1) above

    On a side note:

All went well with my sister-in-law and my nephews interview.

Everyone now together in the U.S.

  13. Ok, on the serious side. Question. What would you do.

Talking with customer service. I asked if I need to what for an email to resubmit.

She said, no need. I resubmitted the corrected I-864A using the original cover sheet.

The original cover sheet has the GUZ number. It has been switched to a GZO number.

This time I did not get the automatic response about "This email is for submission of documents ... blah, blah , blah"

Now we got an email asking for re-submission of document.

It said to include the new letter when sending re-submitted documents.

I am tempted to resubmit them again with the new letter.

Since I did not receive the auto response.

Think this would muck things up by doing it again?

    What would you do?

Resend with your new GZO number also know as electronic processing (EP)

I had no problems getting email confirmation doing EP.

Sometimes it was fast getting email confirmation, Hours to a day or two.

Not sure if you have been to the CEAC site yet but there are two different ones you can check the status of your case.

    CEAC login

    CEAC case tracker

Just resend your corrected papers again.

    You will be fine.

BTW: The 60 day clock starts again.

    Mike

    (Mike check you PM's)

  14. Did you hear my screams  :sweating_buckets:

All of that, now I have a minor error on the I-864A form.

Rats #@!@#$!% Now it resets for another 60 days.

    Crap

Now that just sucks buddy, Sorry for news.

NVC seems to always RFE the I-864 and I-864A

I thought for sure i would have gotten one but we got lucky.

Just fix the issue and you'll be go to go next round.

Yea... The clock thing does suck.

    Good luck buddy.

    Mike
