  1. Please see Original post...

The experience you've described above is the complete opposite of what I and my SO experienced with Mr. Yang back in March 2007. We stayed at a 2 bedroom apartment put up by Mr. Yang and his associates. Here's what we experienced everyday for 9 days at Mr. Yang's apartment:

    - Clean apartment with great air conditioning on every room including the living room

    - Daily visit by a cleaning lady

    - Hot water showers

    - DSL internet access for an additional 10RMB per day

    - Loaner cell phone from Mr. Yang at a nominal fee

    - Free review of all our forms and documentations

    - Free personal all-day escort to the Hospital for SO's checkup

    - When I called Mr. Yang about an issue with the washing machine, within 30 minutes Mr. Yang and a repair man showed up and fixed the thing!

    - When I called Mr. Yang about a drainage issue in the shower, he showed up with a plunger within 15 minutes and unclogged it!

    - At all times Mr. Yang, his wife and the lady associate were courteous, responsive and willing to help regardless of requests or the time of request

    - Last but no least, I requested and obtained a "fa piao" from Mr. Yang when we checkout at the end of our happy, comfortable and enjoyable stay.

I think you and your SO were scammed by an Imposter claming to be Mr. Yang. Perhaps you could tell us what Mr. Yang looks like and which floor was his office located? That should clear things up!

Describe Mr. Yang? lmfao he looks chinese!

  2. CT, your experience doesn't sound like the many others with Mr. Yang. You didn't even meet him from what I read, and he lives there, the office is in his home. He has personally met with everyone who has stayed with him. I know there are several entrances to the Gardens, and there have been others who have had a problem, but never with Mr. Yang! I am sorry for your bad experience.

I hope you find out where you stayed so others can avoid the same mistake! Mike & Zhen

Or it could be because out of respect for Mr Yang, others havn't voiced their opinions.

That is why I won't comment further other then saying the original poster isn't far from the truth when it comes to cleanliness.

  3. I don't understand why it matters. She's your EX.

I think his concern is, if she is allowed to re-enter the US and stay, then what becomes of the I-864 and it's enforcement? Remember, this document can be very dangerous. I would be worried if I were in his shoes.

I agree with Mike. Call ICE, ask some questions, will she be allowed back in the US? Can you with proof, stop her from gaining entry or is what is already filed enough?

I'm glad that this author and Mike from the last post at least take this matter seriously. It is a great concern for me - and I am indeed trying to figure out how this matter can result in problems for me. Of course it would be great if the US would deny her entry - but I don't trust the US to stop her. But considering that she does have a legal green card - I guess I should not expect them to deny her entry. I am more worried about her getting the conditions removed on her own and how this will play out for me.

But by popular demand of the "vultures" on this website - I will no longer ask any questions here about anything. I am offended by the amount of heartless and non-caring people who only look to attack the people that they either don't like or agree with. I can only hope that these people (I speak of here) suffer similar situations/problems, as I have, and hope other members bash them as I have been bashed. But thanks again to the few members who have been understanding and kind to me - and helped in so many ways. This website (as a whole) has provided much needed help, advice, and support - but I will not take part anymore and allow the vultures to feast off of my misery.

    Thanks

    FC

If she gets the conditions removed on her own due to divorce, then nothing will happen to you.

  4. I have a question about the English tense. Maybe someone here can point me in the right direction. Look at the following example, which is better English:

    A. I had blood test done last week. The result came back today, which shows that I am OK and healthy.

    B. I had blood test done last week. The result came back today, which showed that I was OK and healthy.

Is A or B better? My wife thinks B is better, because every verb in the sentence is consistent, i.e. all in past tense. But my argument is that can "it showed me that I was OK" suggest that "the test can no longer show that I am still OK and healthy"? Since they are in past tense, it kind of saying: everything was past and I am no longer healthy and OK?

What do you think? Thank you for your elucidation.

Upon further examination: Both A and B are incorrect. B)

I had a blood test done last week. The results came back today, which shows I am OK and healthy.

We need to throw in an "a" after had. :D Also threw in an "s after result. Just for chits and giggles.

  5. Hi. For the folks who got their immunization shots here in the US at a CS, could you please disclose how much you paid to get the required shots for your wives? I'm still quite confused as to what is an appropriate price range for these shots. Thanks!

$208.00 for the 3 shots and he/she signed off on the supplement form for free.

That is the going rate here. I checked 3 different places. Even the country health department quoted the same prices. About $200 give or take.

Also got the sealed envelope which I will attach to the I-485 I assume.

  6. I'm lost... B)

    I'm filing the...

    I-485 AOS

    G-325A biographic

    I-131 AP

    I-765 EAD

As per the I-864 Affidavit of Support instructions. I don't fill out this form until it is mailed to me. CORRECT?

You mail the I864 with the I485

I want to file everything else together. The EAD intructions say we can file the EAD along with the 485. Put in same envelope? Seperate checks?

Should the 131 be seperate or can it be in the same envelope?

For the EAD. It says to mail at the same place as our AOS. But on the EAD instructions it shows the Nebraska address, (we live in colorado). But on the AOS instructions, we are to mail to the Chicago address.

Yes - applications are separate, checks are separate, but MUST be mailed in the same envelope. Otherwise, you will need a copy of the NOA1 to include with the I131 and EAD.

    I-131 Part 2 Application type:

    a. I am a permanent resident or conditional resident of the US and I am applying for a reentry permit.

    d. I am applying for an advance parole document to allow me to return to the US after temporary foreign travel.

    a or d? d

They want to know expected time departure and return dates. Also the reason. Anything will do? yes

    Sorry for all the questions.

Thx Randy for the quick response.

As for my wifes last name. She will be taking my last name at some point. Is it best to continue using her last name for all the applications and just have it changed when we go for her green card appt.?

  8. Those band of rioters threw down yesterday in L.A.

Did you see that bitch yelling and pointing her finger? If I was LAPD, I would've slapped her down and cuffed her. Too much troubles. I think the LAPD handled themselves well. Go Guys!.........

One of my co-workers attended a counter demonstration accross the street from the thousands of mexicans demonstrating at the capitol here in Denver.

He was in a small group of about 5 people when suddenly they were surrounded by a huge mob of mexicans. One of his buddies was hit in the head with a bottle. The cop standing nearby told the victim that is he couldn't do anything because it's not his district.

The mexicans were yelling and swearing at the small group and waving their mexican flags.

Completely disgusts me that they get away with walking the streets illegally while the cops stand by and watch.

  9. Citizenship--------> Legal Alien Allowed to Work? Or Legal Alien NOT Allowed To Work?

Also Question 8 and 9. Do I need to put her mother and fathers name down on the ssn application form?

    K1

Allowed to work (otherwise you don't get the card) and yes.

    Thx Dude!

    Q. We can get married in the 90 days required, but won¡¯t get to file the AOS by then. Are we ¡®out of status¡¯ ?

    A.

First, the instructions say that a K-1 fiance(e) is eligible to file if he/she married the US citizen who filed the petition within 90 days. Then the instructions go on and describe those who are not eligible. Among those not eligible are individuals who failed to maintain their non immigrant status (out of status). While this would technically include fiance(e)s who married within 90 days but who are still in the US on an expired visa, the instructions specifically carve out an exception for such people. By doing so, I think the instructions recognize that some K-1ers won't be filing for AOS until after expiration of the 90 days.

If possible, avoid the issue by filing for AOS within the 90 days. If you can't, I don't see a significant problem, but I wouldn't dally too long before I filed.

So it appears that the I-94 card in her visa is proof that she is eligible for employment? No EAD needed?

  11. Thx everyone! Sounds like we will be waiting and file it with the AOS. I can't believe how expensive it is to file these forms.

    I-131 $170

    I-485 $325

    I-765 $180

Sure hoping the I-485 doesn't need the supplemental A which is $1000

    ;)

    Shots/civil surgeon will be about

    $200

  12. My advice would be that she not leave the interview room until she thoroughly understands the reason(s) for the blue slip.

Ask questions of the VO who gives the blue slip before leaving the window.

Sit and read through the blue slip very carefully. Think about it.

Then go to Window 30 and either ask questions or tell the VO there what she thinks the blue slip requires and get verification.

You want to make an accurate and complete reponse.

Since I will be providing every possible piece of information and evidence I can think of, may my Fang have time to look for something that the VO asks of her or if he blue-slips and she thinks she has it, will they give her a few minutes to look through her "kitchen sink"?

If the VO has his or her mind set on handing out the blue slip, it won't matter if you have a dump truck full of documents. The VO will refuse to see anything at that point.

Just go with the flow and gather the required documents and hope for an overcome appointment within a reasonable amount of time.

  13. Resident aliens can be deported for something as simple as failing to file their income taxes when they should. A mistake on deductions could result in a tax evasion charge which if convicted would mean deportation. My wife will apply as soon as she is eligible. The anti immigration folks are doing well and your politicians don't give a damn. They don't want to be seen as soft on immigrants.

Resident aliens can be deported. Illegal aliens are free to do as they please. Hmmmm
