Punching Holes in forms

It obviously makes no difference which way you do it, except to the person binding your papers together in his own folder and ACCO clips -
Punching Holes in forms
Randy W replied to Appaullo's topic in General Visa Discussion & First Steps
My attitude - they can punch their own damn holes. -
The only way to deal with people like that is to appeal to a supervisor, or just go to a different office (but, like you're saying, too late now)

Hurry, though, if she has less than 14 days remaining on her K-1, they won't give her an SS card

I'm sorry, but I choked on my cup of tea, just now, while reading this !!!!! I feel this is so true, and I think this is more of a significant factor in success or failure, than some really understand. and I'm laughing my ass off... since I cannot tell if this mean the VO or the SO !!!!!!!!! Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread, but from reading these last comments, I then have to ask the obvious question: Why? Why would someone's income that is just 125% over the poverty line be a potential red flag? Sorry, but I lost sight of who's saying what, if anything.

Good point, another post indicated a divorce Jan 2008. http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...c=31330&hl= Anyway sounds like a reconciliation? AH, no. They've been living together, apparently with the same fireworks as always - " I won't go into detail as to how it happened but her Green card (10 YR) is now in three separate pieces." This post is more recent - http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=450456

I hate to have to keep pointing this out, but she can apply to bring her parents here when she gets her green card (becomes an LPR). The status of the application will be upgraded when (if ) she becomes a citizen, so it may only take two additional years. Net time is approximately 5 years, if she becomes a citizen (2 years after she becomes a citizen), or 9 years after she becomes an LPR if she does not become a citizen.

Travel options after receiving AP?
Randy W replied to hello123's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
The AP allows her back in the US, but is not recognized anywhere else. She can go anywhere that her Chinese passport will let her and apply for visas to any country that requires visas for Chinese nationals. Someone else will have more specific information about countries. -

There's a box you have to check to save it - it doesn't save by default -
Wow - great news! We'll be watching for the results.

biometrics before green card ?????
Randy W replied to lilblimp's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
That would be nice. Go to http://tinypic.com and follow their directions for uploading. Click on browse, navigate to the file on your own hard drive, click Upload. After a few seconds, the picture will appear on the screen and they will give you several posting tags. One if them is the IMG tag. It looks like this: [IMG=http://www3.tinypic.com//ab4357e.jpg] Copy that tag and paste it into your post here. -
http://i41.tinypic.com/343razr.jpg This is my wife's new computer. I bought a motherboard with dual Xeon 2.8gHz CPU's. Forgot the CPU fans, and the places I checked with locally didn't carry them. It requires ECC memory, so I had to order 2 GB's of that. It didn't fit in my full size tower, so I had to slice out the 5 1/4 and 3 1/2" cages It required a second CPU power connection, so I had to order an adapter for that. Didn't work on Windows XP Home, so I had to upgrade to Windows XP Pro. Disks (over 138 GB - confusing as heck until you figure that out) didn't work until it had downloaded Service Pack 2. Anyway, it's a real screamer.

biometrics before green card ?????
Randy W replied to lilblimp's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
no not asking for anything in letter. just saying that biometrics are missing or incomplete. would it be her x-rays ? No - perhaps something is missing from her packet, or the fingerprints didn't take. They should notify you if anything is needed, but go to the InfoPass appt the x-rays are inconsequential unless something else indicates she may have TB -
biometrics before green card ?????
Randy W replied to lilblimp's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
You need to look more closely at the letter. Are they asking you for anything? or what? It is for your CR-1, or is it?? Of course, follow through with the InfoPass appt -
biometrics before green card ?????
Randy W replied to lilblimp's topic in AOS & Immigration Challenges
What are you applying for? The Welcome Letter (mentioned in your signature) says that the green card should be arriving any day now. Maybe the biometrics weren't taken in GUZ? -

You wouldn't believe how many poses it took Lee to get his right.

Actually, 0.8 mm in this case (but close enough for government work) http://www.vintageadsandstuff.com/viewchesterfield18.jpeg

2 inches is exactly 5.08 cm, but I expect no one would complain about the extra (or missing, as the case may be) 0.08 cm

Getting a Chinese visa in the US
Randy W replied to Jocelyn's topic in Communications, Planes, Shipping & Money
You may go through a visa service who goes to the consulate that they deal with, or you may go to your consulate/embassy yourself. If you walk in and submit your application at any consulate, they may just take it. -
Here is the first HK marriage that I remember http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?...st&p=177206

What's a bump? It may catch their eye, it may or may not work against you. Be careful about focusing too heavily on this - your primary concern is the present relationship. This claim is overblown and largely mis-interpreted. Evidence front-loaded is evidence in hand that can be used against you. The VO will decide whether to pass or fail, and then choose the reasons. Use the front-loading to paint the picture that you want them to see, and for the VO to have in hand BEFORE the interview. This is the only opportunity you have to do this. Keep this in mind when you prepare your application. You want to paint a pretty picture of a bonafide relationship, without providing ammunition they can use against you. Do your homework here. We have seen several people get married there - I believe all passed. The law specifically provides for you to get married where you want, and have the interview at that consulate. Mr. Roth is trying to tell you how a VO thinks. That's bullshit. You can get that kind of thing for free here. The law is on your side, the VO may not be, but Mr. Roth does not know. Hong Kong has always (since the first person who went there) been considered a far friendlier environment by this board than GUZ is.

We got 2 of those. Then were asked "please come" to come in to talk to our IO. She then told us we would have to get a police report from the City of Houston ourselves. Jiaying had whacked herself with a meat cleaver at the age of 7 - the scar still shows - but only the City of Houston complained about it.
