1. Women are complex creatures.....  good or bad? a blessing or a curse? or a fantastic mix that makes us want them more than anything we ever knew?  What are your experiences...... ????

If my SO ever asks me if she looks fat in that dress? What do you think my answer is?

I think women are connected in complexity somehow... ha-ha

  2. My eyes are watching "Dailyview", "BuffaloPaul", "ChinaShawn" and "LittleTurtle"...  The last was stuck in namecheck for a long time and am curious to see if he gets it first of this group.

if you follow 001, it appears another Aug interview was added, although the P4 date was the same as many others with Aug.. so probably just a late notice to be added to their list.

I called last tuesday.. will tomorrow (tuesday).  I'll post the outcome here and save a post and maybe some bandwidth!!

    Hi,

You are watching them and I am watching you! April 28th is our acceptance date for the P3.

You have been such an inspiration to me and my journey just reading the posts and marveling at such a positive attitude... and hard work you devote to this site... Thank you!

  3. Haven't seen any Woo-Hoo! posts recently.  Any late-March or early-April P3ers get their P4?  I called DOS on Jul 15, and my wife's appointment still hasn't been scheduled, so I'll pass the prediction table date by a week or, more likely, more.

Talked to my angel today. She is getting inpatient... When she tells me "yes dear" in that tone... Yes... that TONE. You all know I am in for it when she does come to the USA. I melt when I hear that TONE!!! ha-ha.

best to all... may your journey end happily and begin in bliss...

  4. I hadn't been looking at Texas processing times since they moved our case in March.  With this last update I looked around to see If I had messed up chosing to stay on the I-130 course. Which is beginning to look not as good.

I noticed Texas went from one year behind, to exactly same dates as Cal.

I also noticed the the 129-f jumped from 3, or 4 days ahead of I-130 to about 7 weeks.

I only hope I made right decision after I learned about the K-3.  I have concern My wife will find me to have poor judgement.

    Any thoughts?

    136531

I saw on a Yahoo web group post that Texas was only processing applicants from Mexico. That is why all others were transferred to California.

Unproven but that is what the site said...

  5. I wanted to do a roll call of how long your waiting so far...

this is not intended to be a rant, but rather to acknowledge that some are waiting longer than others, and where are you.

Reference at least your Visa center, visa type and how long to date.

I hope, despite the wait, everyone is hanging in there and able to support their SO in this difficult process...    It will all be worth it !!!

    135637

I filed December 21st, 2004 and was notified December 28th. NVC received petition February 8th, 2005 and GZ received March 1st, 2005. My fiancee received notice that the P3 was starting preliminary checks on April 28th, 2005 and here we sit and wait... B)

I filed through Laguna Niguel, California.

I was there over New Years as well...

Was the air full of sulfur for two weeks where you were ? I developed a couch which lasted 6 weeks.. didn't stop till I got back to US and got some antibiotics !

    But still worth the experience...

    135681

I remember the noise the most. Couldn't sleep most of the time. The red envelopes were an experience. Made me want to be younger!!!

It was an experience to remember... I would do it all over again!

  7. My fiancee has been told to know my parents names, my siblings names and my childrens names... We practice each day!!!

She pronounces her English name- Lucy- and says it with my last name perfectly when doing this but massacres my last name when saying it in conjuction with my other family members... It is so funny.

I am changing jobs soon and I am guessing I should submit documentation proving this. I already have sent her my financial info complete with tax years and letter from my soon to be ex-employer.

Anyone have some advice for me on this?

    Thanks,

GZ won't know your siblings names and it would be silly for her to know your parents names as it is disrectful in china ta address an eldr by their name. Most interviews are 4-5 simple quesions. How did you meet, where does he live, what is his work, what does he like to do, has he been married before, how many times did he visit, for how long, why do you want to marry him etc...

They asked my so 6 questions--she didn't know two of the answers--what does he like to do and what are his hobbies. The good news is that GZ had no way of knowing if she was wrong. The bad news is she told them she had no idea--it was no problem

    135255

My SO knows much about me... my job, my state of residence, etc... I thought it was strange for her to tell me she needed to know my parents names but we practice anyway. I will tell her not to say "I don't know" This is good advice for her.

My friend in North Carolina just had his SO get her visa and travel to the USA in April. He says the interviewer asked her if she was a member of the Communist party, if she knew his birthday and how old her fiancee was and how they met. That was all! She could not speak in English and was asked if she knew any English. She said she knew little English. When I met her in Los Angeles, (I met him at LAX and waited with him before her flight arrived) she just said "Thank you" and "my name is ..." My SO speaks English much better and understands well when we talk on the phone and chat on yahoo. Our communication is so much more advanced than my friend and his SO. I do not foresee problems.

  9. My fiancee had a preliminary exam done at the hospital in Nanning. She received a complete exam and her doctor said she is 100%

Like others, she has no medical records except the scar on her arm. She tells me that she has had Chicken Pox as a youth but no record to prove this.

My doctor here in the U.S. tells me that all the immunizations I gave her a list of can be done in the office and is covered by my HMO insurance plan with a co-pay of $20 for each visit. (Food for thought)

  10. Thank you for all this tedious work. This is much appreciated from this member. I have been waiting and waiting... My lady is going crazy and driving me crazy asking "ME" when she gets to travel to the USA (ha-ha)

My P3 estimate is based on an email I received from Guangzhou after I emailed them about several issues. They replied that the P3 was being processed and that my fiancee would be notified of the P4.

Thank you again for the estimate... it calms the anxiety somewhat.

  11. Like this??? (signature)

Thanks for the reply everyone, I feel welcome... I'm way past normal... I left a safe life with a safe job in a safe enviroment... to meet my soulmate 8000 miles away in a nation that I look over a sea of heads and has toilets in the floor. I was so far out of my element. It all worked out so wonderfully. I am a changed man and you'll never get what you need in life unless you stick your neck out for someone to aim at it!

  12. Hello to all,

I was referred by a current member to this site and I must say what I have seen so far here has been very helpful. I have pretty much done everything by myself along with the help of a certain few, not to mention my fiance, in China. It has been smooth sailing so far except for the waiting for my final divorce paper, which was delayed by error on the County's behalf in which I reside.

I have seen longer delays by some members here and consider myself fortunate to have only been in the NVC-GUZ loop for only 6 months.

Any advice from anyone to bring me up to speed for this website would be appreciated. I feel I can greatly contribute to this site with my experience and knowledge but do not want to be out of the norm as I see my posts differ from others.
