  1.

    me

She has her own bank account to deposit her paychecks in and send money back home, but I never have a clue as to how much is in it.

We decide but I am the banker!

What Randy said but I know how much money she has in her account

    Where is the OP's reply?

  2. Well...

After all the B.S. all the struggles and triumphs we have faced. It will be 5 years to the day May 23rd since I received "LOOKING FOR HUSBAND" email from my wife. We received an I-797c notice from the USCIS congratulating on the approval of her removal of conditions. No interview and we should receive her card within 60 days.

Now, we can focus on the kids who are in the 90 day window. This should go smoothly since mama is the primary you would think huh?

Damn... my heart is racing and can't keep the tears back. I look back at all the paperwork and prep I had done. All the adjustments and teachings. Just doesn't seem like 5 years has passed that quickly.

Today... is a good day! :)

  3. I found our local county health department was more than happy to give my wife and daughter the shots they needed. The cost was 10$ per visit for each person, and the number of vaccinations didn't matter.

This is in Texas, but I encourage everyone to check with their county health clinic before shelling out hundreds of dollars.

This is sound advice. Some health clinics go off of your income but I believe the cap is 10 bucks a shot no matter what. The children will have to follow school immunization procedures to be enrolled.

  4. jade will help you :D

Thank you Jin for that insight. I'm an Ox (cow, bull, whatever...)

Others have been making trouble for me. I'm not gambling and I need to shut up because things I've been saying is getting me in hot water.

(I am wearing red tonight btw)

  5. Just make sure y'all tell you wife/fiancee that they will be stopped and asked for their papers/visa/passport several times in their stroll to get on the airplane as my wife and children were.

We were stopped 3 times in Beijing. Once at the Starbucks and the other times were within 20 feet of itself. That was comical to me as we were just walking towards the boarding area and were asked for papers. No sooner had Lucy put her passport in her purse were we stopped again before the boarding call was made!

  6. We received the 797 receipt a few weeks ago saying my payment had been received for the $545. Yesterday, she received the notice for scheduled biometrics in Dallas on January 10th. This is a Saturday! Are they open on a Saturday? I'm guessing they are. The Government doesn't make mistakes do they?

I had a Lawyer's assistant tell me that this is moving quickly and that we may not even have an interview for her 10 year green card which would be so sweet!

    Comments?

  7. from a chinese perspective , many have married in china filed k3 or cr-1, visa denied, then usc divorce her. then she is in a bad time as no chinese man will marry her after she has married man from other country.

so for chinese k-1 can be seen as safer

I find this post very interesting as I have heard this many times. Loss of face and becoming "tainted" could be the reason. We went K-1, not because of the reasons mentioned but due to the easier route taken to leave China.

  8. The copy will have enough information on it for them to find it in their records.

There is nothing on it to be notarized - you didn't sign it.

Hopefully, a step in the right direction

I agree here. Notary would be a waste of time in this case. If I'm not mistaken, this type or notarization only verifies your signature.

It sounds like some very do-able things here. Coming from a man that went thru overcome as we had 9 issues to deal with.

Best wishes for a successful overcome!
