  1. We got married and just went to the local SSN office. They only required her passport with the K1 and I94 stamp. They gave us the SSN and then we went to the bank etc and everything is fine for us. the SSN has work restriction on it but bank did not care about that. I have now contacted an immigration lawyer to do the change of status etc...... george and ling
  2. We got home Sunday in Ft. Worth from getting married and there was an email from GZ telling her that her ems was sent and gave us the tracking number. That is as good as your phone message. george and ling

  7. We were told today or Monday EMS would be sent (7-10 March). They again have lied to us and we are still in the BH. August 13 interview
  8. At interview on August 13, 2002 we got the white paper that told us 6 to 8 weeks or longer for the name check. It is now over 7 Months later. Then 3 times we were told by the Department of State it would take 2 to 3 weeks and each time no results. Then we were told we were cleared but DOS had to send to GZ and it would be a few more weeks. Then 5 weeks passed since that statement. Then Friday March 7 my fiancée received the following email from GZ: Ms. Xxxx, The Consulate has just received authorization to print your visa. The Immigrant Visa Unit will send a notice to your address today or Monday. When you return to the Consulate, you will need to bring the notice and your passport. Barring technical difficulties, you should be able to receive your visa the same day. The Consulate suggests you wait until you have your visa in hand before securing ticketed travel to the United States. Regards, Guangzhou IV Unit This again is a false statement to us. It is now a week past that email from them. She called GZ March 11 and they told her that it is not sent and they do not know when it will be sent. He said just wait a few more weeks. She then called on March 13 as was told it was sent but they would not give her the tracking number. The man she talked to also would not give his name. It takes 1 day for EMS from Gz to Nanning. I have written and faxed Adams but do not get answer. I am now convinced that the US Government only teaches its workers to tell lies. So if you get the great white paper then plan for a never ending nightmare. george&ling 1st NOA Jan 17, 2002 Interview August 13 still waiting

  10. August 13 and still waiting Was getting information from congressman's office but now they do not answer my emails or calls
  11. We were told 3+ weeks ago that we had cleared inter-departmental name/ security checking system but still have to wait a few weeks for dos to send to to GZ. Now my congressman's office seems to not answer me. I ask for a response last week and no response. So we are still in the black hole since August 13th.
  12. Dear Maura Harty: We want to know why the January interviews of this year are passed through and can get visa. Our interview of August of last year passed through and we can not still get visa. We have been told 6 to 8 weeks, then several times 2 to 3 weeks with nothing in sight. We have the pain of near 7 months to wait. In the time of this 7 months, do you know how many fiance/wife that wants to be together have called many times on telephone, have written many letters to DOS and/or GZ? We can not work and live normally. WE have even had some tragedies that could have been avoided. Do you realize what pain and suffering this causes because of your mishandeling of this matter? You have been chief offender inadvertently. If you do not solve as soon as possible, you will pay our price therefore,God is benevolence!!!!! The fiancees of USA
