  1. The I 134 is a two page form back to back. The notary will sign, stamp , and date the second (or back) page at the top. They only require three years taxes for the AOS after she comes over to the US. Right now they require only last years 1040. I had three years worth at the interview but they didn't look at the past years nor did they ask for it. Your accountant or place of employment should have copies of your past W-2. Worst comes to worst you can request the IRS for a copy.

If you have the divorce papers that's fine but how would they know if she didn't marry after that. The notarized single cetificate would prove that point.

Police AND single certificate should be closer dated to the interview.

  2. If the insurance only covers US then that s%^&*. I would probably be more concerned about insurance in China than the US.

As for iTunes: Your computer must be first set to read Chinese in character encoding. If you see the Chinese on your computer there then it will be sent to the iPod as Chinese characters. When I was talking about Chinese on the iPod I was trying to say you can change the menu to the Chinese language.

  3. If the medical was done in Shamian then they first check the letter, after that they enter her name into their computer before the exam.

I gave her a sample letter and asked her to make sure she has that in the P4. If you've seen that sample letter and what you have doesn't look like it then it's just a snail mail notification for you that she has an interview. If you haven't seen the sample interview letter CFL has the P4 downloads.

  4. I gave my SO a mini-iPod last January with a portable speaker system that folds flat by Altec Lansing. She likes to play it at home with the speakers more than taking it out on the road. The iPod was full of different types of Chinese songs. Her neice liked it so much she hasn't seen it since. I'm sure your SO will enjoy the B'Day gift. If she hasn't seen one you might have to explain to her how to use it. Did you enter the Chinese or English language? Good luck on mailing it to her.

  5. I know that this subject has been kicked around quite a bit but I still don't know if there's an actual fact on this. Some say you need a visa and others say you don't.

I plan to have my SO go to Hong Kong to get on a flight to the U.S. She would have to arrive to HK the day before because the connecting flight on the same day is not at least 90 minutes apart. It's 70 minutes instead. If she stays at the Regal Airport Hotel overnight in HK to catch the morning flight will she need to apply for the Hong Kong Visa? I'm not even sure if she has to step out of the airport area to reach the hotel. By the way it's damn expensive. One night in a standard room is $290 US give or take a few cents.
