Just wanted to say Mick, that today Kate got her EAD as well - seems like we are on identical trains somewhere!!! (Getting here and the process since that is!!). Our trip was only 10 miles though!!! But the process was exactly as yours - word for word!! We even stopped at a place on the way back home for her to get an application!!! Now we wonder when we'll hear about the interview and fingerprinting, etc. We filed the AOS on June 5th and when we filed, we were told sometime in the next year!

Many of you know Enight (Alias Kate), well, let me tell you guys, she is smart, talented and beautiful (not necessarily in that order)!, AND she has her visa in hand. I wanted to go to Shanghai to be with her when she comes here, so I'm planning to go there March 13th, but since I've only been there 1 other time, I thought that we could do come exploring to some other places there as well. Which we are planning to do. Then end back up in Shanghai and fly back here a couple of weeks later. I'm excited for lots of reasons!!! I had no doubt in planning to do this, since I could almost hear it in her voice when she first got her visa about having to fly over alone and when I told her that I was coming, I could almost hear her smile over the phone!! Even though I haven't left yet, the days are ticking by, and they're being counted!!!

Kate and I will be going to the Hartford INS office on March 28th then!!! Then walking across the street (almost) to the Fed building and applying for her SSN!!! Thanks Bob for the info!!!

Gee. I feel all blushy now. Well, gee golly, hmmmm, ahhhhh, welll, I'll have to think about it....... Ok.....I thought about it long enough........YES!!!!! Gee, now, how about that rerun!!!! I vaguely remember something a while ago talking about this!!! See, we go thru the K1 process first, to get it out of the way, THEN we go thru the asking thing. Tine, You know that Kate received her EMS on Christmas Day. I found out from DOS that she was cleared on 12/6. Anyone after her???

Even though Kate now has her Visa, I really pray you guys are with all of your loved ones ASAP. This coming year is gonna be the BEST YEAR !!!!!! H A P P Y N E W Y E A R - - F O R E V E R!!!

Thanks for all the well wishes guys. She didn't say much, only that they wouldn't let them in at first (letter said to come at 4PM, not in the AM!), but they finally did. When they came back at 4, there were about 40 people in line, but for some reason, they called for Sandy first, then Kate's!!! So they were in and out in no time. I really hope all of guys hear soon, gee, I feel almost embarassed because you guys have been waiting for sooooo long. I tell Kate, that some point in the future, there's a story to be told in all this. I hope someone with much more literary talent than I have (and I've seen some good stuff here!) put something to paper. I will be one of firsts to buy the book!!! I think it would even make a great movie (think of the characters......)

Hi Y'all This is enight's other half!! I finally broke down and registered!! I always thought that 1 of us to clog up this site was enough!! But I just finished talking to her. She and Sandy got their Visa's today (GZ time). Took James advice, got there in the AM, handed in the paperwork and came back at 4, by 4:30 they had their visas!!!! That's the great news!! But, now they're going to have to spend the New Year's Eve on the train!! Sounds like a load of fun to me. Hmmm. But wanted you to know, since she is constantly picking on you guys!! Before you ask. The answer is "yep".
