after p2 NVC does a namecheck,sends package to GUZ, now GUZ does a namecheck and usually within a weeks time,if required there will be a second namecheck which can be short or very long, no p4 until ALL namechecks are complete.
my fiance had 3 namechecks in march but all were within 4 days,guz did a pre-interview clearence but didnt require a 2nd namecheck MOST people dont have to go through a 2nd namecheck!!, my girls name is not a common name so very quick.

Sorry to be adding salt to this wound... but you will need to bring the appointment letter that has your SO's name on it to get inside GUZ for the interview.
this letter is in the P4, so you will need the actual P4 that was sent to your SO

I talked to a lady at DOS and she told me that GUZ will not be closed durring the move and if they were going to be closed she would know and tell me if it was, but is not going to be closed.
I think they wont hold interviews that week will still process p3's and p4's and other stuff.
DOS also said that they dont expect any delays durring the move infact she mentioned things are starting to move faster.

welcome to CFL and no you dont have to do the 134 form until later on, i filed through the VSC also, which means you and I are very lucky, alot of people cant file through VSC and have to wait several months just to get to P2 (notice of action the approval letter) i see your timeline was just started the other day, prepare for a 8 to 9 month wait, just read recent postings and you will see the answers to your questions, i know you will see the same questions over and over durring your next 8 to 9 months from now which is expected. again welcome to CFL

Well today is the 20th and i called DOS, no update, just the same "waiting to be scheduled for the interview" i do know its about 16 weeks from p3 to p4 and for us the 16th week is the week of Aug 18th, so i am expecting a date from DOS either next week or the following week.
there hasnt been any p4's on 001 or CFL lately why??????

i use UPS, its faster, no customs check and it arrives within 3 days from virginia

a copy of the tax returned is good enough right? so do i need to include copies of the w2?

Please only post in this thread if you have filed a K-1 and your SO has received the P3 after Jan 2005.
Please DO NOT post in this thread if you have filed a K3 or CR1.
Another member and myself are trying to collect data on
the final namecheck COMPLETION dates, not your P3 dates.
If you don't know the completion date please call DOS at 202-663-1225
Lately 4 K1 cases have gotten the interview dates within 55 days after the
namecheck has been completed.
I believe once we can collect this date from you we can make better predictions for interviews for K1 people.
The interview cant be scheduled until AFTER the final namecheck , so P3 dates are not accurate for calculating the interview dates.
If your SO has already received the P4 please give us the namecheck completion date.
If your SO has had or been scheduled for the interview please post the NCK date.
when calling DOS you will need to ask them "what is the date GZ was told the SO is eligible to be scheduled for the interview?" the date they give you is the one we need.
Seriously... Please only K1 filers post in this thread. I don't need info from K3 or CR1 people.
Below you will see the final namecheck dates, the next date shown should be the date you should call DOS to get the interview date.

on the I-134 form it ask about "other personal property" are they refering the value of the stuff you own? like a car? etc,etc.??
its not asking about a house because thats asked below that.

clearing process doesnt mean GZ has the boxes or your files..it only means they cleared China customs, now they go to a hotel and sit for a a week or 2 in order to be x-rayed prior to GZ opening the boxes.
expect the p3 2 to 3 weeks after the "clearence" delay.
this info can be confirmed by calling DOS

does a dated 134 form get outdated for GZ?
what i mean will they except a 134 form dated 2 months before an interview?
seems GZ's own p3 tells the SO to start to prepare the 134

i got the info from NVC , NVC said all namechecks completed on may 25 and she is eligilbe to be scheduled for the interview, GZ said they are queing up to schedule her interview and that her interview should be within a few months.

when should i do the I-134 form? according to my SO she said the p3 told her to gather documents including the I-134 so if i wait 2 months and then send to her my 134 form which will be around july 1st when i send it and have it dated will GZ except it dated 1 to 2 months prior to interview?
our p3 was april 28th,namecheck completed on may 25th.

does anybody know where to pay for the visa and where to pick it up? like a detailed map? so that our SO's dont go to the wrong places and pay money for nothing

hey, when you go to GZ , can you make a map of what buildings you need to go pay for the visa and the place to pick up the visa so we can email to our SO in China?

we will be living in virginia, iwork in D.C., can we get it from the DOS?

if you already married then expect 10 to 14 months before your SO is in the U.S., this is why i went with K1 , much faster like 7 to 9 months.
you should never get married then apply, it isnt faster just because you got married there is more paperwork involved.
kick back,go to movies,eat doritos its a long ride on the GZ train, all aboard!!!!
