Hello, My wife and I were uncomfortable with mailing her naturalization certificate.. So... We bought a ticket to Mexico leaving within 14 days.. Then made an appointment at the Miami passport agency. We had to show them the ticket leaving the country. We had to show them the Naturalization certificate We had to show them her drivers licence We had the application pre-filled out but NOT SIGNED (VERY IMPORTANT) We had a 9 am appointment She recieved her passport the same day at about 4:50 PM Good Luck Dale & Xiaoou

Gene, Yes to all questions --- The only thing I can think of is that -- when we turned in the vacination supplement -- they still needed to get more shots --- but could not becuase it would have been medicaly appropriate at the time. Do you think they want to have us send another vacination supplement showing that they now have all their shots? Thanks.. Dale

Hello All, We mailed our I-485 to the chicago lock box in May 2005. Our case was transfered to the CSC in August 2005. I recieved an e-mail today saying USCIS sent us a letter (today) requesting more evidance or information. Does anyone have any idea what they could possibly want? When we filed our I-485 -- ALL requested support documents where sent and ALL tax returns where within limits. Wo also hava a co-sponsor for added security. Any Ideas? Thanks...

Hello All, Well I am gearing up for trip number 5 to China. I have a few logistic questions ... 1. Any hotel sudgestions for GZ? There will be 3 of us -- Myself, Xiaoou and my soon to be step son Lele --- (Lele it 15) -- I was hoping to find something moderatly priced and close to the consulate where I could get eithor -- A. -- A suite type room where Xiaoou and I could be in one room and Lele could be in the other... B. 2 adjoining rooms... -----new topic... coordinating air travel ---- As air tickets are cheeper when purchased in the Chinese market -- I was considering a few different scenarios... 1. Purchase a ONE WAY for myself to Hong Kong. 1.A - Purchase a round trip train ticket Hong Kong to GZ with every intention of throwing away the return -- this is just to show I have a way out of mainland china. 1.b Purchase 3 one way tickets --most likely GZ to Shanghi then Shanghi to New York ( I found one ways out of shanghi to jfk for around 600 U.S. each ) 2. Other scenerio -- I purchase an open jaw... jfk to GZ then a Shanghi to JFK ... 2.a I then purchase 2 one way shanghi to jfk in china for Xiaoou and Lele on the same flight. If this is not possible I change my flight to match hers... 3. I sign up Xiaoou and Lele so they can have Delta sky miles numbers. I try and get them award tickets in China via Korean aire (delta partner) to the states that would match a full round trip that I would purchase on Delta / Korean air.... Any travel tips in regards to tickets would be appreciated. Thanks.. Dale

Our date was Aug 4. ( P3 recorded ) Here is a question -- Since Jan 2005 brings on a new tax year -- but I will not have any of my 1099's before her presumed interview -- Can I use Check stubs to do a new I-134 -- without a 2004 tax return ? or should I do a 2004 tax return without 1099's and use the check stubs as supporting evidance ? ALSO -- I was looking at the consulate web site again .. they say "copy of latest year tax return" Year is in the singular --- do I only need to show 1 year contrary to what most people are doing which seems to be 3 years... AND do the 3 year thing when the AOS time comes around ?? Thanks... Dale

Hello All, I made a video with my computer -- and presed it to video CD -- I now understand that this format is not acceptable. I am going to buy the necessary equipment to export it to VHS. In the event that GZ does not find this video acceptable -- where in GZ can one have a U.S. -- NTSC 1/2 video tape shot? Thanks... Dale

Congrats !! I have a question for you -- I have operated my own business for 7 years. Up untill I realized the I-134 / I834 requirements I have been keeping ALL my income in my company -- and paying myself virturaly nothing. For 2003 I was able to file a 1040 high enough to cover the income requirements ... For 2002 and 2001 -- my personal tax is to low .. but my corporate tax it just fine. I also enlisted the aid of co-sponsors incase my corprate stuff was not accepted... Did you give your 1040 AND 1120 for every year? WE are doing a K1 -- we are in the "scheduled to be scheduled for P4 stage" our p3 was recieved by GZ on Aug 4 2004 and apparently second name check was ok according to DOS. also-- Did you give 3 yrs of tax returns or only 1 year of tax returns...
