I am planning to do this in Mu dan jiang and Shanghai in about a month.
So, 800 Yuan with or without translation. Nanning ( although not applicable for my situation )
300 something? USD? With translation? Shang hai
Being familiar with how lao wei gets a discount, I plan for SO to visit herself while I wait in the " coffee shop " .
In Shanghai... it is 120 for translation I believe. And 80 for norterize.
For some reason, they want Chinese and English so the whole set truned out to be 300 something with 2 copies(10 for each additional copy). And yes, it is RMB not 300 USD.

If you are not rely on her income which I think isnt the case, you should just let her decide what she wants to do IMO.
It's hard to have a brand new start here with no friend and unfamiliar envirment, so... I suggest give her a little more time to let her try things out and find her fit.
Education is always a good choice if you can afford it.

She has to get a tourism visa first, right?
I don't think it is any easier than marriage visa then why not just getting marriage here or use K1 visa?

One of the reasons why it take so much time to cook Chinese food is coz we cook more than enough dishes! As soon as she learn the fact that no one here need more than 1 dish per meal...she will be releived.

From my little understanding through my own experiences, you need to collecting as much evidences of your relationship and commuincation as possible. As long as you two have met once within the past 2 years, you shouldn't have problem. But again, the more the better. The stronger the better. To the bottom line, ask yourself if you are a VO, would you believe your relationship in a common sense?? fix anything that might cost delay on your positive answer.

have no idea about the I-134 stuff. One thing I do know tho is on your interview, you don't want to miss the latest W-2 form.
