An incredibly mournful day... Beyond sad... I know some of you think that Carl never gave out much about himself here. This was the kind of man Carl was. Someone who would not brag about himself. Yet, Candle for Love is still around because of all Carl gave and his devotion. He was an incredible friend to those who would take the time to know him. I will never forget Carl. Our first dinner together in Beaverton. Hell, I met Carl and learned about Candle before I actually met my wife. His wife Bing introduced my wife and I. I was at Carl's wedding. He and Bing were our witnesses. My heart goes out to Bing because I know she lost an incredible husband. Life's journey has it's ups and downs, it's joys and sorrow. The most devastating feeling in life come from the loss of friends and loved ones. Carl was like a brother I will never forget. I will always strive to remember. I am a better person today for the friendship Carl and I shared. Yes, I could have missed the pain, but I am better off having had him in my life.
