When should she apply for SSN?

I thought you can get the SSN when you file your DS-230......

 

I need the tax break.........

 

That's a lot of dough.......

 

I did my time paying for the welfare folks, time they get

someone else to pay for their trailer park rental....

I asked my employer about the taxes too. I can't claim my wife on my w-2 until after she arrives. Same for her health benifits too. That's the rules in CA anyway.

There have been many posts on filing your wife as a dependent while she is still in China. Since you can't get her a SSN you can get her a TIN number. I ahve no idea how but I know others here do.
