I have not been keeping up for the last couple of days and missed the start of this. I have a nasty flu bug and actually slept!! In fact slept for 20 hours straight. As a result I did not get a call into DOS for Thursday.

 

I am on hold, I hope nothing but a silent line, but I am assuming that is on hold, with GZ right now. Took four tries just to get by the busy tone and one hang up.

 

I don't want to be the one pessimist here, as I am usually optimistic, but this sounds like a classical endless loop that the July-August group is in. Must be re-submitted in 30 days, but it takes more than 30 days to do the checks, so the names are endlessly re-submitted. I am still a little light headed from the fever, so somebody tell me I am wrong here.

Hi Owen, Yes it seems to me that this is becoming the bottomless pit that drills all the way to China. Guangzhou barely answers e-mail these days,

and even when I was in China I almost never got through to the consulate unless I knew an extension number.

No wonder there is an illegal alien problem!! This kind of a mess just encourages such.
