Original Laminated Birth Certificate

Hello,

 

I wanted to ask if there would be a problem at the interview if my original birth certificate is laminated.

 

I got my original birth certificate laminated because it was falling apart and to protect it from further damage. Would they also consider a baptism certificate from the church (which I was able to get in 2013) that mentions my birth and baptism date?

 

Most of my original documents are laminated to protect them from damage. Would that be an issue?

Your birth certificate or passport is fine for an American citizen. You may want to give them copies, while having the originals to show, if asked.
