DS - 260

My wife when filling out the DS-260 thought it was about her status. She stated she was divorced. Actually the DS-260 is about her son's status.. Now Guangzhou embassy wants his divorce record. He has never been married so this is impossible. She went back into the computer and under comments explained her mistake. We have tried to call the embassy to explain to someone what has happened but can never get through.. Does anyone know how to amend this.. Any ways to communicate with Guangzhou available. We havn't heard anything yet.. Suggestions appreciated... Jimu

How about submitting a certificate of no marriage and then explaining the loss of comprehension when doing the DS-260

This should simply be a matter of getting their attention to acknowledge and move along from your wife's mistake.
