Submitted the birth certificate too early

I made the mistake of submitting my husbands only 出生公证书to uscis during the petition. My petition has been approved and now we are about to fill out the ds 260. My problem is I realized the first step was not when they needed it. Will I need to get a new one? It's pretty impossible to get another one due to family problems. If they already have one on file from the petition is it necessary to take another one?

The original should still be in his files at the interview, so he should be okay, especially if he has a copy handy. If not, they'll let him know if he needs another one.

 

But it wouldn't hurt to have an extra or two to take back to the states.

Thank you for the reply. Hopefully it will still be in the file. Due to his family no longer allowing any contact, applying for another report of birth would be impossible.
