Randy W
In July of 1998, President Clinton and his family visited China. One of the items on the agenda was a trip down the Li River from Guilin to Yangshuo. Along the way, he spotted a little fishing village and asked to stop there . Here are some shots from our own visit to the same village in 2014.The name of the village is 渔村 Yúcūn, or literally, "fishing village". We were VERY surprised to see these pictures of someone who had been there before us. To get to the village, we drove from Yangshuo to Xingping and took a raft from there to the village on a foggy day (see map below). 2 Link to comment

amberjack1234
Fantastic Randy as usual. Thank you. On question. Is that real fog or is that pollution in the air in some of the shots? Link to comment
Randy W
Fantastic Randy as usual. Thank you. On question. Is that real fog or is that pollution in the air in some of the shots? I'm sure it's China's pervasive PM2.5 "fog" Link to comment

Randy W
The charm of Xingping Ancient Town(兴坪古镇) is greatly enhanced by the surrounding hills. Most ancient architectures built with bricks are preserved well, such as the bridges, pavilions and wharfs.
