20 tourists left hanging after big May Day crowds cause swinging bridge to sway too far

With millions of Chinese tourists flocking to sightseeing spots around the country over the weekend to celebrate the May Day holiday, a few too many of them decided to cross a swinging bridge in Jiangxi province at the same time.

Photos have hit the Chinese internet showing more than 20 tourists desperately holding on after a bridge that they were walking on nearly overturned.

I fear that one of the many new glass bridges and walk platforms are going to be next. It seems that the Chinese folks just do not understand the concept of safety limits.

That's scary. Wonder if they will debridge in an orderly fashion, or in typical deplane/detrain style???
