Manager informs workers they'll get their paychecks after Singles' Day is over, to ensure they don't blow it all

This Friday is Singles' Day in China (11/11), the biggest shopping bonanza of the year. In fact, this year's edition promises to be the biggest shopping day in 5,000 years of Chinese history with Alibaba expected to reach $20 billion in sales.
However, workers at this Chongqing company will be left out of the historic spending frenzy. The company's 31-year-old general manager said that employees will all get their paychecks next month, in order to stop them from blowing it all shopping online during the Singles' Day holiday.

Alibaba Group Holding’s TMall.com platform is poised to chalk up a record online shopping extravaganza when it kicks off its eighth Singles’ Day gala on Friday.
Hundreds of millions of consumers are expected to put in orders over a 24-hour period, helping the company break last year’s record of US$14.3 billion in gross merchandise value of products sold.
