I heard that there was flooding in the streets of Nanning a few days ago. I wonder if the rains, and flooding caused this problem:

Googled "Rongxian county" and Wiki says that it is near Yulin.

Here is another video of the building collapse I just found on the net:

This one is just a little longer.

. . .

Yes - Rongxian is part of the Yulin prefecture - we go there occasionally for chicken and pomeloes - http://candleforlove.com/forums/gallery/album/682-rongxian/

We've had a little rain also, but nothing Biblical or even newsworthy.

. . . and in Xi'an

Northwest Chinese city issues storm alert

Northwest ‪#‎China‬'s Xi'an City has issued a red storm alert, the highest in China's four-tier color-coded warning system, as heavy rain has battered the city since Sunday.

The city has seen waterlogging in some regions, and maximum precipitation in parts of the city exceeded 100 mm in 5 hours.

About 100 flights were disrupted at Xi'an Xianyang International Airport and a subway station was temporarily closed due to the rain.

Torrential rain has swept across northern China since last week and had left 130 people dead and 110 others missing in Hebei as of Sunday.

One place in China (besides us) that's stayed high and dry . . .

in the Shanghaiist, although I've seen this in several other news sources (e.g., the BBC - http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-36881021)as well

Forbidden City stays dry thanks to ancient plumbing while cities across China suffer severe floods

"Of course the drainage system in the Forbidden City is excellent. Those who didn't work hard to build the damn thing were beheaded as a warning to others back in those days. Now, even with awful drainage systems, we can't even find someone to blame," another chimed in.
