Interesting and it explains a lot! I am often pushed into "clothes shopping" (not for me as there is nothing I need, and not for my wife as she really doesn't need anything either). She likes to look for bargains and buy for female friends & relatives in China...(though any clothes cannot be "made in China" for some odd reason).

My wife usually tries on the clothes on to see how they look and her practice is to hand me her purse as she walks into the dressing room. I'm pretty much left to this - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eE2537J2G34
