Is there a way to check status of the green card? My wife arrived a little over 3 weeks ago and we haven't received it yet

I assume you paid the $165 processing fee here. http://www.uscis.gov/uscis-elis

 

The physical card can take 6 to 8 weeks or longer to process, in the meantime the passport+visa serves as evidence of green-card for up to one year.
