Here is one I just learned about this morning, this site leverages a trick called "hidden city" ticket shopping (where you stop at connecting cities, not the final destination), the only way I would do this would be if traveling with no checked baggage.

In the past when asked by members about ticket pricing for an immigrant such as a K-1 from time to time it comes up buy a Round Trip or One Way, and sometimes a RT ticket is cheaper than a one way, so buy the RT and simply don't use the return trip, Skip Lagged takes this further, sometimes the airline sells a ticket that connects on to a further destination than the one you intend to go to, for example you intend on traveling to Chicago or Atlanta, but there are cheaper flights to a place that connects through Chicago or Atlanta, the Idea is take the cheaper flight and simply not make the connection and get off at the connecting airport (Hub Airport)

A couple airlines have attempted to sue Skiplagged over this however one court has tossed this.
