Catherineli
As a gentile from outerspace, I know nothing of your dialect. I only know some people make "h" silent when pronouncing "human" and "herb". Rawknee, pls know I only mimic your southern English by writing. My English pronunciation and listening are both very weak. I learned English from Chinese people and I speak English to Chinese people as well. My Chinese accent gives me a big headache when speaking English. I don't understand everything when face to face talking with a native English speaker due to my Chinese environment. 1 Link to comment

Still a lot more Chinese can speak passable English than Americans or British can speak Chinese. Link to comment
