Children Interview and Medical Check

My stepson is 14. What medical checks does he undergo? How long does it take? Does he do a TB test and if so does he have to wait three days?

He goes to the interview with my wife. What questions do they ask.

Any advice is welcome.

Child age 7 - 17 will require, TD, Polio, Hep B, MMR, and Varicella

You are, of course, awesome. Do you know the difference in Medical Check costs between Beijing and Guangzhou? Do the costs on the GUV document vary from reality? We are in Xi'an and it is a long commute to anywhere.

There are 4 different places that this can be done, however they won't do this until you have a visa interview appointment scheduled.

Best to arrive in Guangzhou a few days prior to the interview and get the medical done there.

 

Cost 600 to 900 RMB for child, and 1100 to 1300 RMB for adult, however prices can change, I would budget 1500 each for medical, and a some more for vaccinations. I suspect the prices quoted in the above doc for medical in Beijing has the prices for child and adult switched.

All indications are kids that age are not really interviewed. The appointment is more about proving the child-adult parental relationship and proper permission has been granted by the other parent who is remaining in China.

 

At most, they will ask if they want to go to America, no idea what would happen if the kid said No.
