Applying for Passport in China

It looks like two trips are required about two weeks apart - one to submit your application, and then another to pick up the new passport. A third party may be authorized to submit the application and/or pick up the new one. They will notify you by email when it is ready.

Guangzhou - Adult Passports (16 years and older)

Most consulates provide this service. Check their website for specific requirements - some require that you use an online form to print the application. The fee currently is $110. Guangzhou requires an appointment. Wuhan does not provide this service.

You may keep your old passport. It will be voided when picking up the new one.

Yep, I remember visiting ACS in Guangzhou, they also attach pages to the passport, and replace lost passports.

NOTE pages are no longer added to passports - RJW
