Randy W
It looks like two trips are required about two weeks apart - one to submit your application, and then another to pick up the new passport. A third party may be authorized to submit the application and/or pick up the new one. They will notify you by email when it is ready. Guangzhou - Adult Passports (16 years and older) Most consulates provide this service. Check their website for specific requirements - some require that you use an online form to print the application. The fee currently is $110. Guangzhou requires an appointment. Wuhan does not provide this service. You may keep your old passport. It will be voided when picking up the new one.
dnoblett
Yep, I remember visiting ACS in Guangzhou, they also attach pages to the passport, and replace lost passports. NOTE pages are no longer added to passports - RJW Edited April 22, 2016 by Randy W (see edit history)
Randy W
Yep, I remember visiting ACS in Guangzhou, they also attach pages to the passport, and replace lost passports. The additional pages is a same-day service - no additional trip is necessary.
Randy W
Just got notice today that my passport is available for pickup, after only one week. Time for another trip, since they won't mail it to you, although someone else can pick it up for you).
