Joint Sponsors Tax returns

Hi There. Quick question. Does a joint sponsor need to supply 3 years of tax returns or will the most recent year suffice? I, the main sponsor, have all 3 years. Thanks

The I-864 indicates 1 year should be fine, however if this is going to the consulate in a DCF case not to NVC, the interviewing officers there have been known to demand the three years returns or transcripts. NVC can even reject demanding the three years.
