Just wondering if anyone (Chinese national holding China passport with US green card) has gone through the process of getting a tourist (General) visa for the UK? Seems pretty straight forward but they are requiring we enter a hotel with contact information before the application can be confirmed...BUT...they say numerous times to not book a hotel or airline BEFORE YOU ARE APPROVED! Tried calling the UK consulate here in the USA but they will not give visa information out through their information center. Anyone gone through this? Thanks! Link to comment

Beachey Posted September 22, 2014 Report Share Posted September 22, 2014 I would go ahead and book a cancelleable hotel reservation for your intended dates. I understand your frustration with the inconsistency but it shouldn't cost you any money. Link to comment
