DCF to Guangzhou or Beijing?

Hello, I'm preparing my I-130 for my wife. We live in Shanghai. I read I can file for DCF at Beijing or Guangzhou, any recommendations which one I should choose?

You need to go to the one with jurisdiction over your province - http://www.uscis.gov/about-us/find-uscis-office/international-offices/china-beijing-field-office

The Beijing Field Office has jurisdiction over Beijing, Tianjin, Shanghai, Hebei, Heilongjiang, Jilin, Liaoning, Shanxi, and Inner Mongolia

Unfortunately, the American Citizen Services (ACS) unit in Shanghai cannot collect petitioners’ Form I-130 or filing fee. However, American citizens residing in Shanghai’s consular district for six months or longer can pay the filing fee and submit their petition to the USCIS field office in Beijing on the day of their appointment.

 

 

 

The "six months or longer" requirement has been dropped from the Beijing immigrant visa page for several years.
