MarcRosie
Just that it's NOT always obvious (and in fact, often obscured) what WILL happen. By the time she turns over her passport, I expect she'll know where to pick it up. Others haven't reported any issues there - perhaps someone can fill you in on that detail. The NVC is out of the picture now that it's at the consulate She'll give them her passport at the interview, but they are requiring us to set a place where the passport is picked up BEFORE the interview. So far we can't do this. zeven though the interview time/date has been set. Link to comment

What link? https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=English&country=China . . . or start here - http://www.ustraveldocs.com/cn/index.html?firstTime=No - to get there "Select document delivery address". The place where the TELL you to select a passport delivery location provides a link to do so. The link is also in Beachey's post above. Link to comment
MarcRosie
Says "The Case ID that you have entered cannot be found. [GZO**********]" One of the emails they sent says they are in 'pre-interview processing'. And that when an interview date/time can be sent they will let us know. But we already got the P4 letter from NVC that set the date!!! But GUZ is basically saying that you can not set a date/time until they tell you that you can. Has anyone else had this happen? You get the P4 letter setting the time and date but GUZ doesn't have it in their system??? Link to comment
MarcRosie
To update...was able to set the passport pickup location but it still says that her case number cannot be found. Have sent many emails and called so many times to ustraveldocs.com. But it seems nothing ever happens. Last time I called they said they would call and get it resolved in 24 - 48 hours. Been about a week and nothing. I guess we have the P4 Interviw Appointment letter stating our interview time and date. What else can we do but go when the letter says to go, have everything ready and hope for the best. The bummer of all of this is just because we were...I guess nieve...we believed our 'immigration' attorney about the K2. I should've studied more on my own but I guess you think that when an attorney tells you he's had 100% success on over 100 visa cases...he sort of knows what he's talking about. And you would sure think also that if such a thing would happen and a family was not allowed to be together for possibly a decade because of misrepresentation and the mistake of an attorney, that the US government would step in and make it right. Go figure. Link to comment

Dan, you and Randy know more about Chinese immigration procedures than most immigration lawyers, especially ones based in the states. It's sad to read of the many cases "immigration lawyers" have fouled up for folks. Disgraceful...you'd think they work for the government. LOL tsap seui Link to comment

I did setup the passport pickup prior to the interview. Open an account at https://cgifederal.secure.force.com/?language=Chinese%20%28Simplified%29&country=China Once login, choose "新的签证申请 / 安排面谈时间" at the left side, then select "登记文件送达地址", now, you are able to register the document delivery after the interview. Guest ExChinaExpat
The following should explain any problem a user will encounter using the UStraveldocs website. The very same company that was hired to present another botched rollout. Even worse they are experts in the art of botching: What was their track record before getting the Healthcare.gov gig? Experience in similar types of projects is very important in getting federal contracts. CGI had done work in the healthcare arena, and not all of it good: Its performance on Ontario, Canada's health-care medical registry for diabetes sufferers was so poor that officials ditched the $46.2 million contract after three years of missed deadlines, the Washington Examiner reported. A spokeswoman for CGI says that both parties are bound by confidentiality agreements, but they're working on resolving the situation. http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/wonkblog/wp/2013/10/16/meet-cgi-federal-the-company-behind-the-botched-launch-of-healthcare-gov Link to comment
