Would it be possible for me to obtain a tourist visa while I am in Beijing? You will need a visa or permit to allow you to work in Beijing in August. That would probably be a one year visa. If you need an extension or new visa, check with the PSB Entry/Exit bureau - be sure to show them your marriage certificate, although you may need to travel to your wife's hometown. Randy W Posted June 23, 2014 Report Share Posted June 23, 2014 You used your Z-visa to enter China originally and apply for the residence permit. It is no longer valid. Point is, two points. One is that whatever arrangement you have for working in August will probably allow you to stay a little bit beyond the period of employment. If you need more time, (Point 2) the PSB will probably be able to help with either an extension or up to a one year tourist visa. Talk to them for the details.
