I just found their timeline, and the interview was today. It was already over by this time. I hope we hear good news.

I'm in SZ today with Sonny and Youyue's aunt and mother. Youyue is in GZ getting her medical exam done. When Youyue gets back here tonight we'll call Karen and see how things went.

Please tell them just because they are in a foreign country, we still want to know what is going on with their interview!!!

as far as "maybe others?", there was a post on 001 yesterday where a lady was sent home without a visa. The VO asked her a question, "Are you a party member?" and she answered yes. The VO said they will run a background check first before they issue a visa.

I always hate to hear news like that. A big delay for sure but I hope that's all it is for this certain couple,,,a delay.

Wow that is the first time I have ever even heard of anyone, being asked if they were a member of the CP!!

Turns out Karen's interview was on the 18th. Youyue saw met up with her in GZ while they were both there. Karen, of course, passed with flying colors. I guess she's on her way to the states now.

 

Karen's been a little more private about her case than most of us here. But she's also been an incredible help to both Youyue and me. My thanks and best wishes go to her in her new life.
