Steve in USA
Channel surfing a few days ago, I ran across this documentary on our local PBS station: http://www.pbs.org/pov/lasttrainhome/ The documentary filmed the planning and travel home, for a family to celebrate Chinese New Year. It was mesmerizing, involving and heart breaking in its showing the life of migrant workers in modern China. In particular, being stuck at the Guangzhou Railway Station for five days in 2008, along with 250,000+ others, was unreal. And I have visited that area of China many times over the past few years. The documentary has been shown since 2011 and has probably been the topic of discussion in the past here on CFL. I just note as it will be available for free download on the PBS site after September 5th. If you have not seen it, IMO it is a must see. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
