mikepellicore
the rejection notice gives us a case number, don't we need to continue this and follow their instructions? won't the rejection show up in her file? What I really want to know, is it ok to make other changes when I resubmit? thanks, Mike & Yizhen Edited June 4, 2013 by mikepellicore (see edit history) Link to comment

It doesn't really seem like it's worth talking to a lawyer about, either - let's see what the others say. Link to comment
dnoblett
Here is an idea, schedule an Infopass appointment to your field office, and ask an officer, in all likely-hood they would see and understand the error note it in their system on that case and perhaps take the application from you there. Sometimes a face to face does a lot of good. http://infopass.uscis.gov/ Link to comment
mikepellicore
Ok, we re-submitted the N-400, got the fingerprints and received an interview date, Sept. 10th. Yizhen is not confident of her english skills and that she will pass the test, and wants to re-schedule. We are not worried about how long it will take, but someone told her that she could could go to the interview, and if she does not pass, she would be able to take it again. Is this possible? Does she have to pay again? What do you think we should do? Thanks, Mike Link to comment
warpedbored
The English requirement is minimal. If she can communicate in basic English she will pass. They ask them to read 1 simple sentence. I wouldn't reschedule. 1 Link to comment
dnoblett
Exactly, I have yet to read anywhere a person failing the English requirement. Study the resources I posted in this forum, there are links to practice English specific to this. http://candleforlove.com/forums/topic/31260-links/?p=580451 Link to comment
