It's called the Qingming Festival

Recommended Posts

Today is #QingmingFestival, also known as #TombSweepingDay, (in Chinese, #清明节). It's both a natural #solarterm and a traditional festival when people usually have outings, sweep graves and commemorate their relatives and ancestors who have passed away. The literal translation of Qingming (清明) would be "clearness" and "brightness", symbolizing the climate and nature of this season. #Culture #Spring #Chinese #tradition #Chengdu2021 #Rongbao

Today is Qingming Festival in China. Qing Ming's name refers to one of the twenty-four solar periods in the Chinese agricultural calendar, which roughly covers the first two weeks of April.
Qingming Festival has been considered as the festival of the dead in China since 1935. It falls on April 4 or 5 every year, exactly fifteen days after the Spring Equinox.
For Chinese, Qingming Festival (also known as Festival of the Dead, or Festival of Cleansing the Tombs) is the most important holiday to commemorate the dead. It falls this year on April 5th. Do you know the traditions of this holiday?
