Mailing Address & NVC Electronic Processing

Recommended Posts

Two questions.

I want to send my packet via USPS as priority--not express. Which address should I use for this?

Secondly, what's this NVC Electronic Processing? Can it really reduce the waiting time by 60-120 days?

Application packet ready to go out TOMORROW. It's been long enough waiting to collect papers.

Yes Priority Mail is the way to go, just do not be alarmed if you check USPS website and it says something like received at post office, but not picked up, this is normal.

USCIS
P.O. Box 660151
Dallas, TX 75266

I-129F K-1 visas do not have any interaction for petitionier so no Electronic process to opt into, eProcess is an I-130 CR-1 IR-1 spouse visa option, USCIS sends approved petitions to NVC where NVC does a check, and then forward it to the consulate, from what I hace heard and observed it looks like NVC will scan the case and send to consulate electronically automatically. Lately there has not been reported the old 3 month customs delay seem to be less than a month NVC to consulate per the timelines on VJ.

Thanks for confirming the mailing address, Dan.

Does "less than a month NVC to consulate" refer to spouse visas with an eProcess option, or K1 visa applications?

K-1 timelines.

VJ has a great resource that is their timeline database. You can filter for China, and in advance mode sort by date, Sorting by P3 will give you an idea NVC to P3 timing.

Keep in mind you are getting a bit ahead of the curve, with DACA affecting USCIS, processing time may be longer than normal. Normally 6 months at USCIS, but with DACA you can expect 9 months or longer at USCIS. SEE: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php/topic/45434-daca-the-new-black-hole/

I made a valid remark in that topic: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php/topic/45434-daca-the-new-black-hole/?p=597196

Hiya, Dan. I'm confused. What is the bottom line? That our K1 application will now take 9 months until it reaches the consulate?

Another helpful link from someone whose congressman called CSC directly: http://www.visajourney.com/forums/topic/389202-september-2012-filers/page__view__findpost__p__5941912

What I am saying is with the added load placed on USCIS by DACA, do not expect this to be a speedy process.

I'm still kind of surprised the forums aren't being drowned with DACA-related threads. Let's see how this develops and good luck to everyone.
