Could someone guide me to which forum to apply for citizenship

Hi everyone, I need someone to guide me to a citizenship link,

A friend of mine, his step daughter has arrived, she can apply for citizenship when she arrived, her mother is citizen, which forum is used, she needs to do this before she is 18, age now 17.

Child needs to have entered the USA of an IR or CR visa or on a K-visa and have adjusted status and is now a green-card holder in order to then become a citizen.

 

Anyway, US Citizen step-parent needs to adopt child prior to age 18, and then file an N-600 for citizenship cert.

 

Or if mother is citizen them child is automatically citizen through parent.

Thanks Dan, Yes the mother of the child is already a American Citizen, daughters green card was mailed to her along with SS card, they did not have any more paper work after she arrived. So she will just have to do one more forum for citizenship?

Yep, sounds like simply file N-600 for citizenship cert.

 

Other option is apply for a US passport.
