Question is can I buy one here in China and have the power supply workin the USA? The plugs look the same but will the voltage be the same. dnoblett Posted June 10, 2012 Report Share Posted June 10, 2012 Look closely at the power adapter, if it indicates 110v ~ 220v then yes it is designed to work in countries around the world. China is 220 - 240 volts, USA is 110 -120 volts. If adapter is fixed voltage if is the 110 kind and plug into a 220 volt outlet in China, it probably will burn out, and in other direction a 220 adapter will not work on half voltage in the USA. If speakers charge off a USB, charger, you can buy one in the states at places like big-lots or Radio Shack, or Fry's, this is a common charger used for cell phones.
