ljb
So my fiancée was told there is now only one hospital in Guangzhou approved for the medical exam. Is this true? And she called the hospital and was told with a child under 14 years, the daughter must have the medical exam at least 4 days before the interview due to a skin test that takes 48 hours for results. Anybody else had to do this? That means more missed work for her and myself. Link to comment
dnoblett
There use to be two centers doing medicals in Guangzhou one in the city, and another on Shamian Island, but from GIV-8 form it looks like just one location in Guangzhou. Note there are locations in Beijing, Shanghai, and Fujian SEE: http://photos.state.gov/libraries/guangzhou/47024/IV/Medical%20instruction%20_GIV-8_%20-%20Apr_%2012.pdf I have not heard of extra time being needed for under age children. Lastly even though K-Visas can put off doing the vaccination requirement until they are in the states, save yourself a lot of pain and hassle dealing with a US Civil Surgeon who may want to hit you up for full medicals again when only vaccination record needed. Get the vaccinations done while at medical, and get the DS-3025 done for each and sealed separately for later use in the USA to adjust status, SEE: http://candleforlove.com/forums/index.php?/topic/41344-us-civil-surgeons-and-the-i-693/ Link to comment
