JonathanM
Hello Everyone!!! It's been awhile. Will my wife be able to travel to Hong Kong with only her Chinese Passport and US Permanent Resident Card? If yes, does it hold true to all other countries that I could travel to without obtaining a visa? Link to comment
Randy W
The green card won't count for anything in Hong Kong. With her Chinese passport, though, she can still transit for up to 7 days with an onward ticket, but will need a "visa" from her local (Chinese) PSB to visit Hong Kong. Link to comment

dnoblett
Thanks, so it doesn't mean much traveling to countries.. same rules apply..Travel rules apply for most countries. HOWEVER: No visa needed for a green-card holder to visit Canada, Mexico, and the Caribbean Island countries. My wife visited Canada 12 times since getting a green-card. Link to comment

I have a related travel question. Any day now, we'll get our interview date...We're planning on visiting New Zealand next year. If I understand you correctly she should apply for the visa now. Otherwise she'll have to make a trip from USA to China next year just to apply for a visa to visit New Zealand. Link to comment
