Does the wife need a visa to go to China then back to US?

I thought I had read somewhere that a visa is required for my wife (has GC) to go to China and return to the USA? If true can someone send me in the right directions for the paperwork? How long of a process is this? THANKS!! Marc

No. She does not need a visa to go back to her own country. She will be able to get in with her chinese passport and come back with her GC. Unless she tends to stay there for more than a year, then she would have to apply for a reentry permit ( good for two years) to come back to the u.s. If she only stays there for a few month. then she is all set. hope this helps.
