dnoblett
Great performance by Donnie Yen! The early evening started with asking my honey what she wanted to watch, so I went to the hard-drive and picked a movie I had downloaded a while ago. She had seen it before, but I had not, what a great WW-II tale! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1220719/ http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMjE0NDUzMDcyOF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNzAxMTA2Mw@@._V1._SY317_CR3,0,214,317_.jpg We had to follow it up with Ip man 2, which takes place after the war, when he resettled in Hong Kong, and decides to open a Kung Fu school. http://ia.media-imdb.com/images/M/MV5BMTM2MjY1NzMxOF5BMl5BanBnXkFtZTcwNzQ1NTcxNA@@._V1._SY317_.jpg http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1386932/ http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yip_Man Link to comment

The 1st one was the best IMHO. The whole family enjoyed it along with Donnie Yen's performance. Link to comment

dnoblett
I have those lined up w/ Netflix but haven't managed to watch them yet. My wife said they're good.I got lucky, the AVI's I found out there were in Mandarin, and came with English Sub files. Sometimes I get a video recorded in Cantonese which my wife knows some, but is not fluent. When I look to buy a DVD off shelf, if Chinese, I look closely for spoken languages Link to comment
DongDong
Thanks, Dan. I wanted to get these, but you never know what they are really like until you get it home to watch. Link to comment

Donnie learn his kung fu from his famous mom in Boston. http://articles.boston.com/2011-06-19/lifestyle/29677377_1_martial-arts-tai-chi-swords There is also a IP Man III (no Donnie). http://www.amazon.com/Ip-Man-Legend-Born-2010/dp/B0041YI4ZO Link to comment
