dcwfn
I will say that I've pondered this question from a more general perspective. Like if a person had a bunch of DVDs and had ripped them to a server or file share at their house, how would you get subtitles and such for them? So far my solution has been a combination of XBMC and the various subtitle services online. XBMC can be configured to attempt to automatically acquire subtitles online. That said, since the services themselves are incomplete the result is a bit hit and miss. That's a good observation. That's also why I'm wondering if there is already any availability of what I want for this movie already available somewhere.

Go to a Subtitle website and search the movie [subtitle] a. http://www.allsubs.org b. http://www.moviesubtitles.net c. http://www.moviesubtitles.org c. http://www.opensubtitles.org d. http://my-subtitles.com e. Torrent site of choice: You can usually select/deselect from a range of languages to download 2. Name the subtitle file as: [Movie Name].srt you can optionally name as: [Movie Name].eng.srt which some players (or the WD Live) will name the audio channel as "English"... you can do the same with *.chn.srt In most cases, the player (or WD Live-which will also pickup a *.jpg file of the movie cover) will see the two files together and play the subtitles. It is not necessary to 'embed' the subtitles to the movie file unless you want to (or will put it on a disk). I have searched high and low on a dozen chinese sites and subtitle sites... nothing. I thought I found it at one site as playable but it did not. I even asked a friend in china whom I consider the 'movie master' to try and find it but he could not. You may need to buy a version which has subtitles. It seems nobody has ripped it for geek distribution

Either method is sound it just depends on how one wants to handle it.
